Audio Extract

Export audio from a video (MP3, M4A, Opus, WAV, FLAC) with optional range.

  1. Upload your video file.
  2. Format: Choose from mp3, m4a, opus, wav or flac.
  3. Bitrate (kbps): Choose from 96, 128, 160, 192, 256, 320. 192 kbps is a good balance of compression vs quality.
  4. Start & end time: (optional) Extract the audio from just a portion of the video.
  5. Sample rate: 44,100hz or 48,000hz. 44,100hz is the most common.
  6. Channels: Leave at 2 to retain stereo audio. Select 1 to convert to mono.

Troubleshooting & tips

  • 192 kbps for bitrate is a good balance of compression to quality. Increase to 320 kbps for maximum quality.
  • CRF values of 23-28 are a good balance of quality vs filesize.
